You know I couldn’t go another summer week without sharing a lemonade recipe, right?
This lemonade is for the bold. The daring. The adventurous. No faint of heart drinkers here. Trust me. You have to have some cojones for this. It’s definitely flavorful. But spicy. And, dare I say, a little crazy?
I’ve been making so many sweet lemonades lately, I thought it was time to start whistling a new tune. Plus lately, I’ve been lacking spice in my life. I’ve needed adventure. A change, something new. Something crazy and wacky and unexpected.
Like I said, this is not for the faint of heart so be sure to warn your guests or friends before serving this drink. It’s got some wow-factor and fun though, so be sure to have some around for those rapidly approaching end of the summer parties!
- 1 jalapeño, chopped
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup fresh lemon juice
- 6 cups cold water
- In a sauce pan over medium high heat, combine the sugar, water and jalapeño. If you want your drink to be less spicy, remove the seeds from the pepper.
- Heat the mixture and stir to dissolve the sugar. Bring to a rolling boil then remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer to remove the jalapeno chunks and seeds.
- Combine the sugar mixture, lemon juice and water in a large pitcher. Chill for at least 1 hour.

This looks very interesting. Some candied jalapeno could be nice for a garnish.
I never thought of candied jalapenos! Awesome suggestion.
I am so trying this tonight! I love daring and bold flavors.

I hope they like it!
Thanks for sharing
Sure! I hope you like it!
This seriously sounds like the best idea ever. My favorite pizza is jalapeno/pineapple so this would go great with it.
