I know this is meant to be a time of newness. Of resolutions and promises to change things or try to do things differently. I always end up trying to change my eating habits. Less cream and chocolate, more veggies and light foods. And don’t worry, I’ll end up trying to accomplish that again this year.
But at this point in time, the weather is dipping into the very low temperatures. And even during a new year when you are making promises for new things, you need something to warm your belly. Might as well indulge and make it something warm and Nutella-filled. I’m ok with this. Hot chocolate is never against the rules.
- 2 cups milk
- 3 heaping Tbsp. Nutella
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
- In a large sauce pan, pour milk and heat over medium heat. Once the milk is warm, stir in the vanilla.
- Turn the heat to medium high and bring to a low boil.
- Turn the heat to medium and add in the Nutella. Stir until the Nutella melts and is combined throughout.
- Serve hot.
